Abstract
Virological surveillance of poliomyelitis was used for predicting an epidemic early in 1972. A nationwide immunization campaign was undertaken, lay volunteers helping health staff to give the vaccinations. The epidemic was curtailed. The organization, implementation, and achievements of the campaign are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
