Abstract
Three cases of urinary ascites in infants secondary to extravasation of urine from the bladder are reported. The first reported case of intraperitoneal extravasation from a perforated bladder resulting from an umbilical cutdown and the second reported case of an intraperitoneal rupture of a congenital diverticulum of the bladder are included. Successful management of urinary ascites was achieved by immediate diversion. The diagnosis of a vesical perforation should be considered in an infant presenting with ascites. Keywords
