Abstract
An ion-selective electrode based on a naturally ocurring carboxylic polyether antibiotic salinomycin is described which exhibits high Ba2+ selectivity. The selectivity coefficients of the electrode based on salinomycin, log Kpot BaCa, log Kpot BaK and log Kpot BaNa are −2.65, −2.86 and −3.55, respectively. Keywords
