Abstract
A 46-year-old man developed "dilated cardiomyopathy" probably caused by selenium deficiency while on total parenteral nutrition (TPN). This development emphasizes the role of considering selenium deficiency as a reversible cause of unexplained cardiomyopathy in impaired nutritional state.Keywords
