Abstract
High field magnetization and transverse magnetoresistance of itinerant electron helical magnet MnSi are investigated at temperatures between 4.2 K and 77 K in pulsed field H 0 up to 500 kOe. Large high field susceptibility and negative magnetoresistance are obtained reflecting a large spin fluctuation in this compound. A technical difficulty coming from the magnetocaloric effect under a pulsed field is treated in detail and it is found that the calibrated isothermal magnetoresistance above 150 kOe is proportional to H -1/3 0 in accord with the theoretical expectation. Keywords
