Abstract
There exists a number of evolutionary models in which a tiny asymmetry in the size of several subpopulations is amplified. In the present paper a counterexample is given based on equally justifiable starting conditions. The existence of similar models leading to contradictory results clearly demonstrates the highly hypothetic nature and questionalble value of conclusions drawn from ‘by chance’ selection models. Keywords
