Abstract
1053 intracervical inseminations were made with 48.1% non-returns in 150 days. 1311 intra-uterine inseminations resulted in 56.1% non-returns. This difference of 8% was highly significant (P < 0.01). Considering only first service the difference of 5% in favor of intra-uterine was not significant. When the data were analyzed according to age of semen there was no significant difference with semen less than 12 hrs. old, but with semen 24-36 hrs. old the intra-uterine method showed an increase of 13.1% over intracervical, (p < 0.01).
