Abstract
The amount of hemoglobin (determined by the Newcomer method) was found to be measurable and to increase gradually during the later part of the 2nd third of the gestation period. It rose rapidly in the early part of the 3rd period; there followed a slight drop, and subsequent rise just before birth. The new-born rats had a higher hemoglobin content than the fetus of only a few hrs. before. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
