Sections of 907 pigmented intraocular tumors were reexamined, disclosing five melanocytomas: two located in the ciliary body, two in the choroid, and one in the optic disc. The two melanocytomas of the ciliary body had been diagnosed previously as malignant melanomas, both clinically and microscopically. The two melanocytomas of the choroid were noted microscopically as incidental findings in globes enucleated for other reasons. The clinical characteristics of uveal melanocytomas are not completely known at present.
