Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 33-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of hoarseness and a left cervical mass.He was well until nine months previously, when he noticed a "hard feeling" in the throat, which recurred at intervals during the next three months. Six months before entry bronchitis developed, with a subsequent persistent cough productive of whitish sputum. One month later, while driving a car, he experienced a paroxysm of coughing that was followed by abrupt loss of consciousness, and he awoke to find his car in a ditch.
