Abstract
Synthalin A caused a marked reduction in bromsulphalein fractional clearance as a measure of liver function and in blood glucose levels in Holstein bull calves, as compared to both normal and starved control animals. Some evidence of liver damage by synthalin A was noted. Results suggested that the hypogly-cemia caused by synthalin A may be caused partially by an impairment of gluconeogenic activity of the liver. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
