Abstract
Reversible isomerization of the two axial azobenzene subunits leads to modulation of the fluorescence due to the basal tetrapyrrolic chromophore in a new hexa-coordinated phosphorus(V) porphyrin 3, illustrating its utility as a molecular photoswitch.Keywords
