Abstract
The statistics of a temperature increment across a distance in the inertial range in isotropic turbulence is discussed on the basis of the Obukhov-Corrsin similarity, the extensive use of the Kolmogorov refined similarity hypothesis and the three-dimensional tetranomial Cantor set model for isotropic turbulence with a passive advected scalar. The result compares well with available experimental data. Keywords
