A simple approach to a parameter-free molecular translation factor

Abstract
A reasonable, analytical form for the molecular translation factor applicable to semiclassical scattering calculations is proposed. The derivation follows from simple considerations of the quantum continuity equation. The suggested form may be expressed throughout a collision with no free parameters.Keywords
