Abstract
During the 1990s, there have been many reports associating elevated plasma homocysteine levels with arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.1-7 Although not all new studies are consistent regarding the risk of homocysteine,8 a relative risk of 1.4 for the difference between homocysteine levels higher than 15 µmol/L compared with levels less than 10 µmol/L after adjustment for other cardiovascular risk factors seems to be the best estimate.9Keywords
