Abstract
THE presence of a foreign body in the extrahepatic biliary tract is extremely infrequent judging from the paucity of reports in the medical literature.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 Having recently been confronted by the problem of obstructive jaundice developing several years after a wound, we believe that the case, together with its diagnostic and pathogenetic aspects, merits reporting. Previously reported cases are presented in Table 1.Case ReportJ.D., a 29-year-old man, was admitted to the hospital on December 2, 1953.
