Condensed phosphate compounds in Graham''s salt, varying in polymerization number, can be separated by anion exchange on Amberlite IR-120 and Dowex 1-4X columns. A procedure is described in detail which separates polymerized phosphate from dimer to dode-camer, but not higher polymers. With the use of a Dowex I-8X column, tri- and tetra-metaphosphates are separated fairly well from each other by elution with NH4OH-NH4Cl buffer, increasing in KC1 concentration.
