Abstract
The article discusses the applications of PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique)—its use, mode of application, and criteria for its implementation. The author presents a study of 200 companies in an effort to gauge the number of companies employing the PERT process, where and how they are utilizing the technique, and where they are encountering difficulties. The article notes that the qualitative and quantitative data gleaned through the survey will direct researchers in further study and in the further investigation of effective implementation of the technique.
