Abstract
A method is presented for determining the breaking strength of cotton fibres. Combed fibres are ezct to a definite length, weighed, taped with drafting tape, and broken in the usual fabric breaking machine. The equipment and time required for preparation, breaking and calculations are less than required for the Chandler bundle method and the results have been found to be as satisfactory. Keywords
