Abstract
Angular distributions of 14.0-MeV protons scattered elastically and inelastically by targets of have been obtained. Coupled-channel analysis has been used to extract extended optical-model parameters that generate fits to the scattering data of the isotopic sequence. The analysis has yielded deformabilities that have been used to calculate equivalent electromagnetic-transition enhancement factors and ratios of values, which have been compared with the results of Coulomb-excitation studies.
