Abstract
A series of Bromazepan (B) complexes of Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) thiocyanates of the type MB2(SCN)2 have been prepared. Physicochemical characterization of the complex species have been made from magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic, vibrational and e.s.r. spectra. Magnetic and electronic spectral features suggest a pseudo-octahedral environment of the central M(II) ion in all these complexes. IR spectra have furnished positive information regarding bonding sites of the ligand molecule and the mode of the attachment of the SCN to metal ion.
