A computerized analysis of 2,144 questionnaires correlated the relationships between 40 variables and yielded 700 frequency tables. Of the 2,144 individuals in the psoriasis sample, 45% were male and 55% female. The mean age at onset of the disease was 27.3 years. Scalp, elbows, and lower extremities were most commonly reported as areas affected at onset. Warm weather and sunlight had a beneficial effect. The relationship between psoriasis and various diseases (arthritis, asthma, throat infection, diabetes) were studied. Remission of psoriasis had been experienced by approximately 40% of the males and 60% of the females.
