Abstract
Several scholars have alluded to the pervasiveness of the phenomenon of knowledge disavowal in organizations — the avoidance of available knowledge in order to protect the status quo. This study empirically investigates structural antecedents of the phenomenon in large manufacturing organizations, develops implacations for managing organizational knowledge systems, and suggests directions for future research. Keywords
