Abstract
The permeation behavior of europium(III) was examined by using a supported liquid membrane impregnated with Versatic 10 (VA10) diluted in kerosene. Europium was quantitatively transported through the liquid membrane even with a high concentration of VA10, and it was concentrated in the product solution of dilute nitric acid. The permeation rate increased with the feed pH and the carrier concentration, and then eventually approached a constant value. The permeation behavior is discussed in connection with the liquid-liquid extraction behavior of europium. Keywords
