Abstract
The dynamic response characteristics of the carotid sinus baroreceptors of the dog were obtained by controlling the intrasinusal pressure and recording the electroneurogram of the carotid sinus nerve. It was shown that the gain characteristic of this system can be linearly approximated for pressures in the physiological range. On this basis, using sinusoidal pressures, a transfer function and a linear differential equation were obtained from the Bode plots of the response. The differential equation thus obtained defines the dynamic response of the baroreceptors to a variety of pressure functions. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
