Abstract
An account is given of 39 species of Australian ascidians of the families Clavelinidae and Polyclinidae, of which 14 are new. The larvae of certain species are considered in relation to specific and phylogenetic patterns within the genera and families. The geographical distribution of species is discussed.Keywords
