Abstract
The paper deals with a simple transistor circuit whose input impedance is equivalent to that of an inductance L in series with a resistance R, both L and R being frequency dependent. B can be adjusted to have a positive, zero or a negative value so that the circuit can net as a high Q inductor, or in conjunction with a suitable capacitor, as a tuned oscillator. The circuit may be readily integrated into a single semiconductor block and, as such, it will be useful in the microminiature electronics field where the realization of a high Q inductor has long been a problem. Keywords
