Abstract
This article presents a response to an article written by Cliff Oswick and Philip Jones in which they criticized Joep Cornelissen's article, “Beyond Compare: Metaphor in Organization Theory.” The author appreciates their comments for stimulating discussion about the role and use of metaphors within organizational theory. He addresses Jones and Oswick's critical comments regarding the generalizability of the domains-interaction model as well as their proposal to treat the comparison and domains-interaction models as complementary sociological and psychological tools for studying the uses and impact of metaphors in organization theory. Keywords
