Differentiation of Tobacco Mosaic Virus Strains by Complement Fixation.

Abstract
Complement fixation was used to differentiate tobacco mosaic virus strains: by differences in amt. of virus reacting optimally with specific antiserum; by differences in antiserum dilution end-points in homologous and heterologous reactions; and by fixation of complement by antiserum absorbed with heterologous antigen. It is suggested that complement fixation can be used to measure TMV concn.
