Abstract
We describe a case of fatal encephalitis apparently due to rabies despite treatment with human diploid cell vaccine from the day of exposure but without rabies immune globulin (or serum). This case reinforces the need for rabies immune globulin as part of rabies treatment. (JAMA1982;248:2304-2306)Keywords
