Abstract
The memory disturbances following electric convulsion therapy were studied with sets of 9 pictures each of animals (cat, elephant, rabbit, goose), each set beginning with a nearly circular ink blot which progressed gradually in intervening pictures to a recognizable silhouette. Sets of pictures seen before treatment were more easily recognized postconvulsively than new sets, although subjective recollection or recognition may not have been present during the test. Keywords
