Abstract
Community colleges vary considerably in terms of the proportion of the curriculum devoted to courses outside the arts and sciences, the relative weight within the non‐liberal arts curriculum that is given to subject areas, and the extent to which credits earned in this part of the curriculum transfer to baccalaureate‐granting institutions.Keywords
