Abstract
Glacial landscapes involve a complex mixture of sediment types that often have different hydrogeologic properties. The single most important factor affecting hydrogeologic characteristics of glacial deposits is the diversity of sediments and the resultant numerous lithologic discontinuities. In this chapter, the genesis, spatial arrangement, and geologic and hydrogeologic properties of these sediment types are discussed. Keywords
