Abstract
From the leaves and the roots of Anthocleista vogelii Planch, were isolated three secoiridoid glucosides. Besides sweroside I were found two compounds bearing an oxygenated substituant on the lactonic ring: their structure is elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods, including 13C–NMR spectroscopy. One of them is secologanic acid V and the other, a new glucoside of A. vogelii, is named vogeloside VII. The conversion of secologanine IX into V and VII is performed in vitro. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
