Abstract
This study investigates the effect of an eight-month exercise program on selected audiological, biochemical, and physiological variables. Sixty-four adults between 23 and 62 years of age participated in the study. Ten of the 64 subjects were designated as controls and 54 as experimental subjects. Data on physiological, biochemical, and audiological variables were collected before, during, and after an eight-month period for the experimental and control groups. Several significant results were observed for the experimental group. However, no significant changes were obtained for controls. In particular, no significant change was observed for the experimental group on pure-tone thresholds. Nevertheless, significant differences were found on temporary threshold shift measurements. Keywords
