Abstract
In distance methods or distance matrix methods, evolutionary distances are computed for all pairs oftaxa, and a phylogenetic tree is constructed by considering the relationships among these distance values. There are many different methods of constructing trees from distance data. Here we discuss only the methods that have proved to be useful for actual data analysis. Keywords
