Abstract
The most common optical nondestructive test is interferometry, which reveals phase-shifts resulting from differences in optical path. The optical path is the integral of the refractive index along a geometrical path, and so geometrical and/or material properties can be determined provided that the object under inspection is either reflective or transparent. Keywords
