Psoriasis Vulgaris

Abstract
In this survey, 103 consecutive patients with psoriasis were studied with respect to their (1) oral glucose tolerance tests, (2) family history of diabetes mellitus and/or psoriasis, and (3) urinalyses. Using conservative diagnostic criteria, 25% of these 103 psoriatic patients were found to have diabetes. The statistical possibility that this observation resulted from chance alone was less than 1 in 2,000 (P0.01 and <0.025). Therefore this thesis of independence is rejected, and some degree of relationship should be considered.
