Abstract
The immonium ion, N-(4-aminobutyl)-1,2-didehydropyrrolidinium (3), has been shown to be involved in the biosynthetic pathways to the pyrrolizidine bases rosmarinecine (6) and retronecine (8) by radioisotopic labelling studies and by an intermediate trapping experiment. Keywords
