Abstract
Several research studies document the stress of residency training and suggest that support groups may provide house officers with opportunities to release tension, and to attend to their feelings about their experiences. In planning such groups, consideration should be given to the need for this kind of program, its organization, and the means by which it can be evaluated. Keywords
