Susceptibility of the Periodic Anderson Model with Spin-Orbit Coupling

Abstract
The Fermi liquid theory the basis of the periodic Anderson model is developed for the case in which lacal f-electron states are specified by the total angular momentum j and its z-component M on account of a strong L-S coupling. The f-electron part of the susceptibility for the case U=0 is shown to take a usual form given by x=gj2µB2(j(j+1)/3)2ρf(µ), ρf(µ) being the density of states of f electrons at the Fermi surface.
