Abstract
Wheat-germ agglutination (WGA) was used to identify 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae and 105 strains of other Neisseria spp. in a routine laboratory. About 1/3 of the meningococci reacted with the lectin and titers with some organisms varied on repeat testing. The technique is regarded as unreliable for the identification of Neisseria spp. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
