Abstract
Summary: Peripheral blood lymphocytes were evaluated for surface immunologlobulin and the ability to form rosettes with anti-Rh coated erythrocytes (EA). Ninety percent of the EA-rosetting cells also possessed surface IgG. This surface IgG was mostly lost after a 1-hr incubation at 37°C. These data are discussed in relation to the work of Fröland and Natvig and Lobo, et al., and the suggestion is made that the EA-rosette assay detects a population of cells with a very avid Fc receptor that bears cytophilic IgG on its surface. Keywords
