Abstract
6‐Azauridine was given intravenously in single doses of 7.5 to 15 Gm. to 15 pregnant women preceding legal abortion. Pregnancies of 1 ½ to 2 ½ months (amenorrhea of 49 to 90 days) were interrupted 24 hours to 8 days afterward. In 3 cases of advanced pregnancy which were interrupted after 24 houTs, no changes of the trophoblast could be detected. In 10 cases, diffuse micromolar degeneration of the chorion was found and, in one case, focal degeneration of the chorion. In 4 cases, there was striking proliferation of trophoblast syncytial lamellae. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
