Abstract
Range distributions of 24Na,42K, 85Kr, and 133Xe ions in amorphous Al2O3 have been measured in the energy region 40–1 000 keV. The experimentally observed values of the mean range and range straggling are in excellent agreement with the predictions of Lindhard et al. (1963), except at the higher energies, where the observed ranges are consistently larger than the predicted values. Keywords
