Antiferromagnetism of CuF2·2H2O and MnF3

Abstract
The molar susceptibility, χm, of CuF2·2H2O has been measured from T=1.3 to 260°K. It is antiferromagnetic with a Néel point of θN=26°K. Above T=θN the Curie-Weiss law, χm=Cm(Tθp), is obeyed with θp=37°K and μeff=1.9. Data for MnF3 also show antiferromagnetism with θN=47°, and with Cm=3.10, θp=8°, and μeff=5.0 above the Néel point.
