Abstract
Attenuation of electromagnetic waves by a random distribution of pair‐correlated dielectric spheres is studied as a function of frequency and volume concentration of spheres. The main aim of this paper is to compare theoretical results obtained using a self‐consistent multiple‐scattering formulation and measured values of attenuation for latex spheres in water. The agreement between theory and experiment is very good. Keywords
