Abstract
The occurrence of two areas of low grade thermally metamorphosed rocks and hydrothermal veins in the Dalradian meta-sediments south of the village of Ballachulish is recorded. They are interpreted as being the result of a structurally controlled underground eastern extension of the Ballachulish Granite, which is considered to be batholithic in form. Eight new chemical analyses of meta-sediments indicate the isochemical nature of the thermal metamorphism.
