Abstract
In 12 sleeping sickness patients in Uganda (compared with natives not infected with Trypanosoma gambiense) hypoglycemia was exceptional during the earlier stages. Treatment with tryparsanide gave variable results: the blood-sugar level might rise or fall, or not change. Glucose tolerance tests indicated very little if any impairment of the capacity of the liver to utilize glucose. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
