Abstract
Electron micrographs of Erwinia amylovora grown in subinhibitory concentrations of streptomycin reveal a series of lumps in the cell cytoplasm which are absent when the antibiotic is omitted from the medium. A shrinkage of the cell membrane with corresponding emphasis on internal solids is suggested as the basis for this phenomenon. Keywords
